History
Lisa has had a lifelong passion for fitness, and was once a competitive athlete and group fitness instructor. After having spent her twenties sitting at a desk selling health club memberships, Lisa realized she felt so much better when she was active. She also realized she wanted to help others live a healthier lifestyle too. She feels very lucky to have made the move to Southern California where she trained with the best -- Lisa became certified in Spinning with Johnny G's Mad Dogg, studied fitness yoga with Molly Fox, and became certified in personal training with NESTA and ACE. She attended UCLA's Personal Training Program in 1990, then went on to receive continuing education in prenatal fitness. Here in Southern California Lisa was able to take these skills to the street (or more often, the beach) and really help people make a difference in their lives. For the last twenty years Lisa has worked with celebrities, busy executives, working mothers, and everyone in between in honing her skills to maximize lasting, positive results. Lisa believes health is something not just reflected on the outside -- she takes a holistic approach, encouraging her clients to decrease stress in their lives and focus on good nutrition in addition to training with her. They keep workout journals and food journals to track progress, and to better understand what really works best for them.
Lisa's proudest accomplishment is taking her cumulative fitness knowledge to create the Skinny Jeans Workout DVD. This workout has spawned many copycats, but Lisa's is the real deal, selling thousands of copies on her website and at Target. SJW is a fun and effective workout designed to appeal to the busiest multitaskers. Lisa developed multitasking exercises, minimizing time and maximizing results. The DVD offers four different workout options at five minutes, fifteen minutes, thirty minutes and forty-five minutes. Lisa believes an amazing body can be achieved at any age. One of her long time clients, Cheryl Tiegs, is living proof that it is possible to look and feel as good in your forties and fifties as you did in your twenties.
"I love inspiring people to make healthy choices and to be the best that they can be at any age. It makes my day to know I have helped people make a positive change in their lives."
